CORE is the central process control layer of BonOS. It runs the conveyors, elevators, valves and drives, holds the interlocks that keep people and machines safe, and writes every process variable into one database. Every other module plugs into it.

Route control
Set a route once — intake to silo, silo to dryer, dryer to silo — and CORE starts the whole chain in the correct order and stops it in the correct order.
Motor and drive protection
Current, runtime and blockage monitoring on every drive. A blocked chain conveyor is stopped before the shear pin is the cheapest part of the repair.
Interlocks that hold
No route can be started that would feed a stopped conveyor or a closed valve. The logic sits in the PLC, not in an operator's memory.
One unified database
Every temperature, every moisture reading, every start and stop is written to one SQL database with a timestamp — and stays there for years.
One dashboard
The whole facility on one screen: what is running, what is full, what is alarming. No walking between three control cabinets to find out.
Ready for the next module
STORAGE, DRYER, LINK and CARE need no new controller. They attach to CORE.

Why it pays
The expensive failures in a grain facility are rarely dramatic. A chain conveyor runs on for four minutes after a blockage; a valve stays closed while an elevator keeps feeding; a route is started in the wrong order at two in the morning by someone who has been on shift for eleven hours. Each of these costs a repair, a day of downtime in the middle of harvest, or both.
CORE removes the class of failure that comes from a human having to remember the correct order at the wrong hour. The interlocks are in the PLC. The order is in the route. The operator presses one button.
The second return is slower but larger. Once every process variable is in one database with a timestamp, you can answer questions you previously argued about: which dryer setting actually cost the least per tonne last season, which silo warms up first every August, whether the new pre-cleaner changed anything measurable. That is not a report — that is the basis of next year's decisions.
Frequently asked questions
Do we have to replace our existing PLCs?
Usually not. CORE is built on proven industrial PLC and HMI platforms and communicates over open industrial standards, so existing controllers and field devices are integrated where they are sound. Replacement is proposed only where a device is at end of life or cannot be made safe.
Can CORE run without the other modules?
Yes. CORE is a complete process control system on its own. STORAGE, DRYER, LINK and CARE are additions you can make later, in any order, without changing the platform.
What happens if the dashboard PC fails?
The process control logic runs in the PLC, not in the dashboard. If the visualisation PC fails, the facility keeps running and can be operated from the panel; the dashboard is restored from a backup image.
How long does long-term data logging keep the data?
The SQL database is sized at design time for years of process history rather than months. Retention is a project parameter, agreed with you — not a licence limit.
Is this the successor of the ESS pages on the old website?
Yes. Machine and drive safety used to be presented separately as ESS. It is now part of CORE, because interlocks and safety monitoring belong in the same layer as the process control that starts and stops the machines.
